Showing model horses is a fun and exciting experience. Whether you want to compete in live shows or photo shows, almost every collector ends up doing one of the two.
Photo shows are most often held on Youtube. The host will post the classes to compete in (Pinto, English Performance, etc.) in the style of a video, and to enter you most post a video with your pictures as a video response. Make sure to include the models show name, breed and gender . Also be sure that your model is PSQ (photo show quality). You can win a small prize, printable ribbons or real ribbons if your models place.
Live shows are more complicated. Your models MUST be in perfect condition to place, or be LSQ (live show quality). Your models will need tags around their legs, with their show name, gender and breed on one side and your initials on the other (make sure that this side is face down). You pysically go to a hall or hotel with your models. There will be classes just like in photo shows. The judge will call up classes and close them. Example: "Class 21, Arabian is now closed. Class 22, Shetland, is now open." You will win real ribbons if your models place.
